Mark on the Move

Powered by God

It’s interesting to think about personal power and where we think it comes from in our daily lives. We see the labels on products we buy that say things like, “powered by Intel,” or “powered by Microsoft.” Technology powers a lot of things to be sure, but its power is limited. There’s only one real source of unlimited power. Your computer may be powered by Intel, but when you’re experiencing a “power” shortage, the best thing you can do is to check your connection to God.

When you’ve had a stroke, or some other illness or you’ve been de-railed by life in some way, you need to move as quickly as you can to renew your strength and your energy. You need to plug back in to your Creator.
How can you plug back in and get reenergized, so everything is working on all cylinders once more? There’s just one way! You’ve got to pray and turn everything that weighs you down over to God. You’ve got to put it at His feet and get reconnected to the only Power Source that truly exists in the world.

Jesus said that He was the vine and we are the branches. That means we have to be connected to Him in order to survive and produce fruit. That means if you have health issues and long for recovery, you can’t do it alone. You have to stay connected to God so that He can move within your being and make you strong.

If you’re having a temporary power outage, if nothing seems to be going like it should, then get re-connected. Go to the Word, go to prayer, and go to God to revive you once again. With Him, you’ll never have a power shortage. He’ll never leave you in the dark. You’ll be powered by God!

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing.”

John 15:5, NCV
