Mark on the Move

Because of Who He Is!

Having a stroke is a serious thing!  There are times when I have wondered why I am still alive, or why I recovered as well as I did.  It could have gone some other way and I recognize that.  There were many times after I first came out of the induced coma, when I wondered if this was the end of the line for me. There were even a few times when I wished it would be.  I never had a fear of death in my stroke experience, but I sometimes had a fear of life.

You may have some of those questions too. You may wonder just what is happening in your life now and you may be tempted to ask a lot of “Why?” questions. You can ask the “why” questions, but perhaps it’s better to ask a “what” question.  What can I do from here to understand what God has in mind for me? What do I need to surrender, or what steps do I need to take, to draw closer to Him?

I can admit that I don’t have all the answers, but I do know for sure that any possibility I have today, any work I get to do now, has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with WHO God is!  My story and your story are all woven into the threads of God’s plan for our lives.  He knows what He has planned for us and He wants us to be so close to Him that we can see His hand at work in every step we take.

Today, I pray for you the same thing that I often pray for myself.  I pray that I will do everything in my power to have my heart be right with God so that I can take another step in His name and for His glory.  You may not yet rejoice in your situation, but you can thank God for His love and all He does for you simply because of WHO HE IS!  May He bless you in big ways today.

Who is God? Only the Lord. Who is the Rock? Only our God.
